We tested OurDream AI on a free account
We opened a fresh English-language account and chatted first with Blair Montgomery (27), then with the official character Luna (21). Every figure below comes from our own session in a real browser rather than from the platform's marketing.
Free messages before the limit
7messages per chat session
Each chat allowed 7 messages before an "Upgrade to keep chatting" wall, and every message also spent 1 of the 55 dreamcoins we started with.
Both chats were blocked on message 8 even though we still held between 37 and 48 coins. Starting a New Session with the same character unlocks another 7, so the 55 coins stretch to roughly 55 messages, handed out in blocks of 7.
How far the free account went
Fully explicit on freeBecause every chat caps out at 7 messages, we ran this check with Luna in a new session. She played a moody roommate who consents in her own style ("Go ahead then"), and the scene reached full explicitness.

What OurDream AI is
ourdream.ai is a companion and roleplay service owned by Dream Studio USA, Inc., which is incorporated in Delaware and states that it went live in January 2025. You design characters through a six-step builder (realistic or anime; female, male or trans), talk to them or to characters shared by the community, and can put up to 12 of them in one group chat. A subscription adds image and video generation, audio messages and live voice calls.
Billing mixes a subscription with an in-house currency, the dreamcoin. Premium is 19.99 USD a month or 119.88 a year; Deluxe is 59.99 a month or 359.88 a year. Each tier gives unlimited messages on the standard models and a monthly 1,000 or 5,000 dreamcoins for media and the stronger models, while free accounts get a single grant of 55 coins and spend 1 per message.
The service fits people who want to chat, generate pictures and video and talk by voice without switching apps. Keep in mind that coins meter all media (voice calls run at 50 coins a minute), you will not find a native app, and the company may train its models on user data under its privacy policy.

You get 55 dreamcoins once: they do not refill monthly and no card is needed. A message costs 1 coin (2 with Genius models), and building a character costs 5. According to the help center, generating images or video needs a subscription, and the company says guests may message public characters as many as 5 times before creating an account. When we tested on 27 September 2026, each chat locked after 7 messages behind "Upgrade to keep chatting" while coins remained, and a new session with the same character unlocked 7 more. Two pictures from the image generator cost 10 coins and came back blurred. Trial: there is no timed trial; the 55 free coins are a single allowance.

Coins cover media and the advanced models, and any you do not use carry over. On the pricing page, 1,000 coins are described as roughly 20 minutes of calls or 10 videos. Refunds: Under the March 2026 refund policy, defects reported within 14 days are handled case by case with a credit, a fix or a refund; consumers in the EEA, UK and Switzerland get a 14-day withdrawal right, and crypto payments are never refunded. The help center also says no refund is given once over 25% of a purchase has been used, and a monthly plan is non-refundable after coins have been spent.

Accounts are created with email or Google. Submitted content comes with a broad, perpetual license, and very popular public characters may stay online after you delete your account, which you can do from the profile page.
